In September, four classes left for a school trip in Paris

The departure of this trip was at 7:15 am in Vouziers with Mrs Cernier and Mrs Delaurent, the teachers.

This trip lasted three hours and the pupils arrived at 10:00 am.

They visited the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame de Paris and the Maya exposition.

This trip lasted one day.

They saw the wonderful Maya objects, the sublime Eiffel Tower which is the cause of our popularity.

They learned many interesting things about the Maya civilisation.

They're dissatisfied with the visit of Notre Dame de Paris because they walked one hour to stay 2 minutes.

Despite this interesting trip there are many negative points: the route was long, the visit of Notre Dame de Paris was too short.

We interviewed our English assistant, Alexander Fallaize. He is 21 years old, he is studying French in Leeds university, near Manchester in England. He speaks a bit of Spanish and German.

The Fallaize family are a family of six, composed of the parents, the mother works in a supermarket occasionally and the father is retired from a factory where he worked for forty years. Alexander has a sister called Yvonne, she is 39 years old, she is a nurse but she is in maternity leave beacause she is adopting a baby and two brothers called Jonathan and Christopher. Jonanthan is 27 years old, he works in an airport and Christopher is 29 years old, he teaches mathematics in a university.

He enjoys travelling, for example, he has visited Egypt where he saw pyramids and Toutânkhamon's mask, he has been to the Canary Islands, to Greece and in France. He has already been in Paris to see the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre museum. Two weeks ago, he was in Rheims for three days with Mrs Salus. Alexander has come here because his university wants him to come in France. He is an assistant one year in France. He is staying in the boarding school.

He wants to become footballer but it's just a dream. In fact, he likes playing rugby, tennis, golf, cricket, and enjoys reading fantastic and adventure books. He loves listening to pop and rock music and likes playing video games.

To conclude, he thinks that we are very nice and welcoming!

Last week, the Fashion Week took place in the center of London, from Friday 16^th until Wednesday 21^st this September. There were more than 200 creators (British or not...), for 66 shows which followed one another for six days. This enormous event represents about €119 million for year ! The first day, there was an "ecologic fashion show" which brought together ecologic creations like the ones of Vivienne Westwood, Stella MacCartney and People Tree. A lot of people came, with several celebrities like Kate Moss, Kristen Stewart, Sienna Miller, Naomi Campbell and... Anna Wintour, of course ! Nevertheless, the Fashion Week of London wasn't as big as the one of Milan, Paris, or New York...

     Pablo Cabra, a colombian young boy who is in our High School. He is 15 years old, he has been here since 29th July. He is here thanks to a program in his school, an organisation which is called CEI ( it's a program in his school which consists to make foreigners come in France ). He is staying five months, until january. After that, he goes to spain for one month. When his parents learnt about the travel, they were happy for him, he won't be with them for christmas so his parents were all the same a little sad for that.

      Pablo has one sister and one brother who is 17 and 8. He lives in Bogotta which is the capital of Colombia. In France, he lives in Monthois. 

     For him, there are many differents between his country and here. Like the culture, gastronomy, the breakfast in Colombia for example is bigger than in France.

People are also different, in Vouziers they are so sad, quiet and in Colombia everybody is happier and enthusiatic.

     He's in France to speak French better and know France better too. He feels sometimes sad when he thinks about Colombia and he thinks that will be difficult during Christmas. It's his first travel to France.

     He likes sports ( football, tennis ). He also likes rock music with Beatles and Rolling Stones.

     He is in Seconde 2 class. He finds there is a good ambiance in his class and he feels good. He likes his family in Monthois, for him everything is alright. He has been studying French since he was 6 years old.

     In the future, he wants to work in the economy, he would like to be has an industrial engineer.

London is situated in the South East of Britain, it's the capital and the biggest city of the United Kingdom. It's a dynamic city and very diversified about cultural. It's a very touristic city, with 27 million tourists a year. Many famous monuments such as Westminster Palace, Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace and Big Ben.

London is also a Monarchy, her inhabitants are very proud of their Queen.
The Londoners are outstanding, very sociable and they have a lifestyle a little strange, customs differents of ours.

We are pupils from Lycée Masaryk in Vouziers, we belong to the 1L. We are interested in languages and literature.

Our high-school is called Tomas Garrigue Masaryk because during the first war, a lot of  Czechoslovak soldiers died in France to  honor their death, the country was giving money for the reconstruction of Vouziers city. This was allowing to construct a high-school. Tomas Garrigue Masaryk was the first president of the first republic Czechoslowak who was for the education and sport.
